Kristen Fennell

Kristen has been working in the Neurofeedback field for 6 years. She received her Masters of Neuroscience from Carleton University, as well as a Masters of Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa. Kristen is a Board Certified Neurofeedback Clinician (BCN) through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). She is currently in process to obtain her Quantified EEG Diplomate (qEEG-D) through the International QEEG Certification Board (IQCB) and her Board Certified Biofeedback Clinician (BCB) designation through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). Kristen has received intensive training from professional experts in the field and continues to work closely with these mentors for case consultations and advanced training. Kristen has keen interest in quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) assessments and provides comprehensive reviews of individual data. Kristen’s wide breadth of Neurofeedback training allows her to tailor treatment programs to individuals based on their unique history and goals. Kristen has extensive experience working with a variety of neurotherapeutic approaches including neuromodulation (e.g., High Performance Neurofeedback, Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy) and operant conditioning-based neurofeedback (e.g, single channel training, low-resolution electromagnetic tomographic analysis (LoRETA) Z-Score training). She also has experience facilitating biofeedback training sessions, including Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Electromyography (EMG). In her role as Director of Neurofeedback, Kristen oversees neurofeedback for both the Kanata and Downtown locations. She facilitates training and acts as a BCIA approved mentor for clinicians and technicians.
