Sharon is a Clinical, Health, Rehabilitation & Counseling Psychologist. She is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and L’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She offers a full range of psychological services with many years of clinical experience. Sharon utilizes a collaborative and integrated treatment approach, including Psychological Diagnostic Assessments and Evidenced-Based Psychological Treatments such as the Third Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) including Mindfulness-Based Interventions, as well as Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) Treatment. Her earlier career as a Registered Nurse provides the foundation for her expertise with mental health challenges.
Sharon welcomes adolescents, adults and seniors with non-judgmental presence, warmth, integrity and compassion. In addition, she has expertise in working with medical and front line health professionals who are experiencing workplace stresses and anxieties including those related to the covid-19 pandemic, depression and burn-out. She has also gained an expertise working with the RCMP, Military Members and Veterans.

Sharon is passionate about the growing field of Neuroscience, Mind-Body Health and Neurofeedback Treatment. She has completed comprehensive trainings and has gained expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions for stress, symptom and pain management, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness Therapy, Mindful Self Compassion Therapy (MSC), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Positive Psychology Interventions and skills for psychological well-being. In addition, Sharon completed a certificate in the Foundations of Mindfulness Teacher’s Practicum at The Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and has experience facilitating CISM Interventions for small and large groups.

Sharon has completed comprehensive trainings in Neurofeedback Treatment in Clinical Practice in the United States and Canada, including QEEG Brain Mappings and Analysis, Single and Two-Channel Neurofeedback Treatments, LoRETA Z-Score Neurofeedback and Complexities of Neurofeedback in Developmental Trauma.
