Tina holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa. She has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years in a variety of environments including research settings, hospitals, universities and private practice. Tina works from a client-centered approach, focusing on developing a collaborative working relationship and providing emotional support for children, teens and adults. She works with individuals and families on issues such as Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Trauma, Burnout, Parenting, Divorce, Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and people who are recovering from Motor Vehicle Accidents. She also works with young children with Anxiety, Behavioural Problems, School-Related Problems, Sleep Disturbances, Trauma, Learning Disabilities, Depression, Bullying, Self-Esteem, Grief, and ADHD Issues. She uses a combination of techniques tailored to each individual client, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), brainspotting, mindfulness, play therapy, narrative, and solution-focused therapy. Tina is also trained in High Performance Neurofeedback, a specific type of brain biofeedback directed toward the renormalization of the brain and central nervous system. Tina’s services are covered under most insurance plans, under the supervision of Dr. Michelle Presniak.
